Event Management

We have organised and successfully executed multiple large scale events in the fields of sustainability and research, in Pune, Maharashtra.

Flagship Projects

Featuring four of our large-scale high-impact projects through our three year journey as a youth-run startup.

Cleanup Drives

Swachh Viman Nagar Campaign:

Oganised on the 2nd of October by the Viman Nagar Resident Alliance, we worked with over 600 volunteers who helped in cleaning and wall painting.

Lohagad Fort Trek:

On the 21st of November, 2019, we organised a cleaning drive and trek at Lohagad as a part of the 24 Hours of Reality campaign by Climate Reality India. With a turnup of 110+ SLC students from all over Pune, the main focus was to raise awareness about the prevailing scenario of climate change.

Sarasbaug Cleanup:

We volunteered for the ecological restoration of the Sarasbaug pond organised by Lemnion Green Solutions in collaboration with PMC on 7th December, 2019. This drive involved the manual removal of foreign plant growth in the pond mainly since it reduced the flow of oxygen underwater, having drastic effect on its marine life.

Bombay Sappers Colony:

Organised this drive at the Colony along with the Pune Municipal Corporation and Viman Nagar Resident Alliance on 12th January, 2020, with a successful turnup of 150+ volunteers.

PMC Rainwater Harvesting

Situated in a rain shadow area, the water crisis is a severe problem faced by Pune. To address this issue, Col. Shashikant Dalvi, the National Coordinator of Water Conservation for the Climate Reality Project, India, provided guidance to the Pune Municipal Corporation to implement rainwater harvesting systems in over 57 sites and societies in the city.

This resulted in channelizing 57 crore litres of rainwater from the city’s rooftops into the ground. ExploreiT had drafted a report on the rainwater harvesting models executed in Pune under the guidance of Col. Dalvi, which was acknowledged by the Additional Commissioner in Pune. This report was then launched on 26th January, 2020 on the occasion of ‘PAHAL’ along with Mr. Narendra Salunke (Chief Engineer of the Pune Municipal Corporation), Mrs. Mukta Arjun Jagtap (Local Corporator) and Col. Dalvi.

SDG Festivals

Students and families flocked ExploreiT’s very own SDG festival ‘PAHAL – The Viman Nagar Carnival’ in association with Pune Municipal Corporation and Viman Nagar Resident Association on the 26th of January, 2020 at Symbiosis, Viman Nagar.

Unlike any other carnival, this eco-responsible festival combined both responsibility and festivity. It was based on one concept: Carbon Neutrality. Several initiatives were taken up: vendors were provided with reusable cutlery, a workshop on solar energy was conducted and multiple competitions pertaining to the same theme were held. The festival was a grand success, starting the year off at a high, positive note.
